I finally made the leap and made my very first purchase from SHEIN. If you don’t know what/who SHEIN is, they’re a very popular online clothing store known for their trendy and incredibly cheap items. I’ve seen lots of bloggers, YouTubers and even close friends wear some pretty nice outfits from them, but I was always hesitant to purchase. I was uncertain about the quality, the sizing and not being able to return items. To be honest I’m the worst at online shopping. I can never get my sizing right and since it ships from China, I didn’t like the idea of having to wait a long time for my clothing to ship and then have to pay for shipping to send it all the way back if I didn’t like the pieces.

If you follow me on Instagram you know my obsession for scrunchies! I was obsessed with them back in the 90’s and when they made a come back in the early 2000s, you bet I was excited to jump right back on the scrunchie train. I’m still rocking them and I don’t think I’ll ever stop! A new and fun way to switch up your scrunchie game is to wear them oversized. Have you seen this trend? I absolutely love the look! It’s a great statement piece and can really dress up an old outfit. I started to search for where to buy some, but didn’t have much success. There wasn’t much colour or pattern options that I was interested in, so it was time for another DIY!

The key to making the perfect scrunchie is all in the measurements! I did a couple test ones before figuring out the perfect giant size scrunchie. It was actually easier to make than a normal sized one because you have more fabric to work with. Here’s how to make one.

LUCKY KEY LIME DONUTS

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up on March 17^thand to celebrate you can create fun themed treats that can be enjoyed by the whole family. These key lime donuts are on the healthier side because they’re baked not fried (without compromising on flavour!) They’re super tart, flavourful and delicious just like biting into a key lime pie! You can enjoy them as is or add a tangy citrus key lime glaze on top. For the full St. Patrick’s Day vibe, top them off with crushed Lucky Charms and Lucky Charms marshmallows. The recipe is even easy enough for your little leprechauns to help make too!
