DIY VALENTINES DECOR CUSHION

Here’s an easy way to dress up an existing decor cushion for Valentine’s Day! This DIY was inspired by a Christmas cushion I saw online from Target. (See image below). I thought is was so cute and totally my style with the girly velvet pink material, pearls, and tassels. Sadly in Canada, we don’t have Target 😭 and they don’t ship to Canada either. What’s up with that? They need to change that! Also, the boarders are closed with the pandemic and travelling is a nuisance these days. A lightbulb went off in my head…Time to DIY!!! I decided to make pearl hearts instead of the trees for Valentine’s Day, but really this pillow can be used all year round. It was very easy to make and I must say I love how it turned out. It saved me some $ as well and I’m all about saving! 😃

DIY GIANT SCRUNCHIE

If you follow me on Instagram you know my obsession for scrunchies! I was obsessed with them back in the 90’s and when they made a come back in the early 2000s, you bet I was excited to jump right back on the scrunchie train. It’s a great statement piece and can really dress up an old outfit. I started to search for where to buy some, but didn’t have much success. There wasn’t much colour or pattern options that I was interested in, so it was time for another DIY!

The key to making the perfect scrunchie is all in the measurements! I did a couple test ones before figuring out the perfect giant size scrunchie. It was actually easier to make than a normal sized one because you have more fabric to work with. Here’s how to make one.

DIY RAINBOW MACRAME

I’m back with another DIY craft! These rainbow macrame pieces are so cute to add to your spring decor and could also be used as St.Patrick’s Day decor by using a variety of green colours. I love how easy this craft is and you can adjust the size to accommodate your space. You could make a large rainbow and hang it over a nursery crib, (so adorable) or make miniature ones and use them as a keychain or even earrings!

DIY KNOT PILLOW

Hey guys!  I’m back with another fun and easy DIY.  If you are interested in making a knot pillow, I broke down the steps in a picture tutorial below. So far I’ve made two pillows and each took me roughly around 30 mins to make.  These knot pillows are not only great for your own home decor, but they would also be the perfect hostess or house warming gift.  Put a tag on it and handwrite, “made with love”.
